Ivana Sedia, born in Argentina, moved to the U.S. with her family in 1989. As a fluent Spanish, Italian, and English, and proficient Macedonian speaker, Ivana has always been moved by language and understanding.
Ivana continuously channeled her passion for helping others through language by translating business, corporate, legal, and government documents. As she continued to translate, she understood the immense need for her efficient translating service and a huge interest in learning Spanish and Italian from her surrounding communities. Ivana has since built a team of like-minded translation experts as the full-service translation company, Unida Translation.
With an MBA in management, BA in communications, international relations and diplomacy, and a minor in Italian from Dominican University, Ivana took the world by storm not only by writing for various publications but also working for the Illinois Secretary of State where she utilized her expertise advising and assisting non-English speaking immigrants.
Being invited to write in Spanish, Italian, and English for publications since the age of 13, such as Latino Social Magazine (for which she also modeled “quinceañera” and evening dresses) and Amici Journal were exciting experiences that led her to not shy away from the camera and become the Podcast Host of Leaderable.
High schools have invited Ivana to encourage students to start their own businesses. She also has been invited to speak at organizations about her entrepreneurial endeavors and strives to lift up women who want to become “mompreneurs.” Besides teaching Spanish and Italian in her spare time, Ivana likes to sew, cook recipes from around the world, and take tango classes with her husband. Ivana is the mother of Johnny and Juju.
